The Truth

While watching Smallville, which is possibly the most interesting show on network TV right now, I saw that annoying anti-smoking Truth ad again. The one that takes place in "Crazy World" and shows some guy explaining that one cigarette has 33 times as much cyanide as was found in some imported grapes in the 80's. When I saw that ad two days ago, I found it pretty funny and asked my roommate, "As a smoker, does this ad have ANY effect on you?" Without batting an eye, he replied, "No." I laughed some more and said, "I thought so."

That little exchange reminded me of a couple of my high school pothead friends who carried around DARE pencils with them all the time. Oh the irony.
